Lindoso (Castelo), is a picturesque mountain village and one of the most emblematic of the National Park.

This is a place full of heritage, culture and people proud of its legacy. Outstanding amongst its precious constructed heritage are the Medieval Castle, stone cross, the group of espigueiros and the communal threshing floor. Along the narrow and labyrinthine streets are found generally well-preserved dwellings with the typical architecture of the region.

It is a well-known village and visited by many people, being one of the main entrance points for the National Park for visitors coming from Galicia via the border at Magdalene. Gradually the village has been adapting better to receiving tourists with several houses being restored for tourist accommodation and restaurants. Be sure to visit the National Park Gate, where you can obtain information, advice and access support facilities.
