Adrão River

Soajo, Arcos de Valdevez

The River Adrão is a small watercourse that rises near to the village of Adrão and flows for about 8 kilometers to its confluence with the river Lima after passing by Soajo. It has as tributaries the Bordença and Liqueiras streams that become dry in the more severe summers.

Along its course, it has some riverside corridors, rich in biodiversity, when in full flow some stretches of rapids, waterfalls and natural pools, all much appreciated by visitors. One of its best- known pools is the Poço Negro near Soajo.
