The crossing of Broca stream is by way of a small rough stone slabbed bridge which was constructed by the local people at a point where the watercourse was most favourable.
This type of mountain streams can carry huge amounts of water depending on the rainfall regime, thereby forming temporary torrents and waterfalls.
In mountain areas these temporary water courses create more humid corridors which are very important for conserving certain habitats and their associated biodiversity. Sometimes, particularly above 700m altitude, tree cover is practically confined in these more humid and sheltered hollows.
