We are at the highest point of this stage, where the landscape is truly remarkable, enhanced by farmed fields on terraces, retained by stone walls.

The agriculture practiced here is of a subsistence level. Seasonal crops are intended to meet the needs of families as well as for animal feedstuff. Small agricultural plots abut onto woodland areas whose resources are used in traditional ways handed down from generation to generation.
