The Chão da Ponte stream is a small watercourse that rises in the Serra Amarela, in the upland meadow at the top of Carvalhinha at an altitude of 1086 meters. The stream crossing is made by way of a beautiful bridge built in stone and from which we can appreciate the clarity of the water flowing below. This type of bridge is not uncommon throughout the mountains; it was thanks to these structures that access by men and animals to the highest areas of pasture in the mountains was guaranteed.
At the bottom of the valley is preserved a fine stand of oak trees which accompanies the line of water until it joins the Germil River.
