Chelo is a small hamlet in Cabril situated about 600 meters above sea level and as such one of the highest in the parish. Its location on the slopes of the left bank of the Cabril stream, facing the rocky summits of the Gerês mountains gives it a setting of great beauty. The community maintains the traditional practices of agropastoralism, preserving the small extent of cultivated fields that surround the nucleus of houses.
