To the north, near to Germil, can be found part of the enormous cultural and ethnographic heritage of this village in the form of a bear ‘silha’. This is a roughly circular granite-walled structure that served to protect beehives from bears. References to such structures in the region go back to the Middle Ages, an indication of how important bee-keeping was in past times. This feature can be seen as we walk on the magnificent paved path, etched out of the hillside, which provides access from the village to the mountains.
